Start with phonics and work up through grammar, speaking, writing and everyday conversation. Most games are built for Zoom 1-on-1 or small groups and need a teacher to run them; the ones marked Solo work on their own. One game can carry a whole 25 to 50 minute lesson. Many games are built to be replayed, so one game lasts many lessons.

Phonics · 拼讀

  • Sentence Stretch: Start with the shortest sentence (The dog ran.) and stretch it one question at a time: Who? What kind? Where? When? Why? Each answer adds a brick to the tower. Common questions

Is this free?

Four games are free: Ladder Phonics through the first three sound groups, Telling the Time, Quick Fire Flashcards and Big Text. The other 60+ are in the paid plans. The free ones need no account, you just open the link.

Won’t we run out of 60 games quickly?

No. Most classroom games are used once, but these are built to be replayed. In many games the cards and questions are shuffled every round, and the ladders inside (35 phonics groups, vocabulary from A1 to B2, Quick Fire’s Level up) take the same student further each lesson. I’ve taught on AmazingTalker with this library for over two years and never run out, and new games keep being added.

Is there anything for adults or Business English?

Yes. The Teacher plan includes Ladder Talk, the adult speaking board, with 10 Business English units: Networking, Office Chat, Meetings, Video Calls, Job Interviews, Customer Service, Negotiating, Office Etiquette, Your Industry and Presenting Numbers. Each has 15 discussion questions and 3 real-life role-plays, from B1 to B2. What ages is this for?

Mostly primary, roughly ages 6 to 12, with some grammar and writing games reaching lower secondary. Every card states a suggested age. Ladder Phonics works from not knowing the letters at all, and I use it with adults too.
